Abstract Excessive epidural fibrosis attached to the dura mater is major cause of recurrent failed back surgery syndrome after spine surgery. Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) promote fibrosis, raising possibility that DNA backbone NETs may be a potential target in therapy fibrosis.
